Nicole Rideout has most recently performed with Theatrical Gems as Lady Larkin in Once Upon a Mattress. She has appeared in productions of Mary Poppins (Mrs. Banks), Anything Goes (Hoper Harcourt) and Pinocchio (Hickory Cricket) at the Shawnee Playhouse. With Mostly Opera, she has performed the roles of Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) and Gilda (Rigoletto), with Theatrical Gems, she has sung the role of Emma (Jekyll and Hyde), and with Pennsylvania Lyric Opera Theater as Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Pitti Sing (Mikado). She has performed with other companies such as Opera Columbus and Princeton Opera Festival in roles such as Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Kate/Lilli Vanessi (Kiss Me Kate) among others. In spring 2014 Nicole premiered a new American opera called “Piece/Peace Together” with Children’s and Liturgical Opera. She has had the privilege of Assistant Directing the East Stroudsburg High School South recent productions of Carousel, Bye Bye Birdie and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Temple University and her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University. She is currently the Music Director at Zion U.C.C. and has a private voice studio, both of which are in Stroudsburg, PA.
